I was born and raised in the beautiful town of Anacortes. Growing up, my father, “Captain Al”, served as the Master of the Guemes Island ferry for over three decades, instilling in me a strong sense of responsibility and dedication to serving others. My mother, Norma, made history as the first female Administrative Assistant for the city, working with the Police and Fire Department.
I embarked on a journey of higher learning at Gonzaga University in Spokane where I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in political science with honors and a degree in broadcast journalism. I continued my education at the Gonzaga School of Law, earning my Juris Doctorate JD in 1980.
Initially, I began practicing law in my hometown of Anacortes, but eventually, I decided to establish my own firm in Everett. To this day, Everett serves as the location of my main office, where I continue to provide dedicated legal services to those in need.
Throughout my career, I have been driven by a deep motivation to focus my practice on cases involving severe injuries and untimely deaths caused by the negligence of others. It has been an incredibly rewarding experience to help individuals who have often been taken advantage of by insurance companies or other parties. Knowing that I have made a difference in their lives has brought me tremendous gratification.

Nic Bacetich
Family History
My grandparents, Kuzma and Franca Bacic, were born in the small town of Blato, located on Kortula Island in Croatia. They immigrated to America in the early 1900s and settled in Anacortes. My grandfather, Kuzma, worked as a fisherman in Croatia, Anacortes, and Alaska, primarily catching salmon and crab. My mother, Norma, grew up on a farm in Kansas before moving to Mount Vernon, Washington. My father, Al, also worked as a fisherman in Alaska before finding various jobs in Anacortes. He eventually became the Master of the Guemes Island ferry until retiring.
I grew up in Anacortes with my parents and brothers, Tony and Don. I pursued a career in law, attending Gonzaga School of Law and graduating in 1980. I have always been passionate about serving others and have been involved in various community activities, including working on former US Senator Henry M Jackson’s re-election campaign, serving on the school board, and holding leadership positions in organizations like the Kiwanis Club. I started my own law firm in Everett in the 1980's, focusing on cases involving car/truck collisions, dram-shop incidents, nursing home neglect and abuse, and medical negligence. My firm operates from a beautiful 1907 Victorian house in Everett.
In 2016-17, I was elected President of the Washington Association for Justice f/k/a the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association (WSTLA), a 3000+ strong organization representing injured individuals seeking justice. I am proud to say that WSAJ’s Board of Governors unanimously voted in support of the recognition of same-sex marriage and equality.
Outside of work, I enjoy golfing, traveling, and spending time with my husband Kerry and many good friends. I played Men’s Slow-pitch softball for over 27 years and was elected as Commissioner of the league. I was the first player in the league to be inducted into both the Seattle Hall of Fame and the National Hall of Fame.
My husband Kerry is a chiropractor, and we have been together for over 20 years. We live in our home at Greenlake in Seattle.
